Children are a huge part of our church here at Grace Baptist Temple. If we train our children right, then they are more likely to turn out right. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Loving nursery workers provide a clean and safe environment. Parents can have peace of mind while they attend one of the adult Bible classes or one of the worship services. Nursery is provided for newborns through two year olds. Volunteers who work with children are carefully interviewed, screened, and trained.
It is amazing how much your child will learn in these classes specifically tailored for children from three to five years old. Your children really will enjoy being in this class. They will come home singing new songs, quoting verses they have memorized, displaying their crafts, and sharing with you important truths they are learning from the Bible. They will learn things like the importance of obedience, being kind, sharing, and even more important truths like who Jesus is and the fact that God loves them and made them for a unique purpose. The teachers and workers are trained, dedicated, compassionate and excited to be a small part of the life of your child. The teachers and helpers gently guide these children into a loving knowledge of the Saviour.
Boys and Girls Classes (1st-5th Grade)
Games, excitement, learning, crafts and songs are just a few words that describe the 1st-5th Grade Sunday School classes at Grace Baptist Temple. During this critical age range, children's ability to memorize Bible verses and to comprehend more significant truths from the Bible really accelerates. They are taught simple truths from the Bible that they can understand at their age level. Their classes are located in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Baptist Temple.
Patch the Pirate Club
Patch the Pirate Club meets on Sunday nights at 5:00 p.m. They sing songs, play games, listen to Bible reading, have story time and just have fun. The children learn a new song each month, which they sing during the morning service on the first Sunday of each month. Patch the Pirate Club is for K-4 thru 6th grade boys and girls.
